JOB: Freelance Contributing Editor, British Art Studies

The editorial team of British Art Studies is writing to let you know that we are looking for someone who is committed to expanding both the histories of British art and digital publishing as a freelance Contributing Editor, and we’d be incredibly grateful if you would share this opportunity amongst your networks.

BAS is edited collaboratively by a team in London and New Haven. We are keen for the new Contributing Editor to help develop our editorial expertise and shape the future direction of BAS, maintaining its reputation for scholarly excellence, responsiveness to authors and creative experimentation. They will also contribute to two current projects at the journal: a major redesign happening throughout 2022, and the remote residency programme “Atlantic Worlds: Visual Cultures of Colonialism, Slavery, and Racism”.

The Contributing Editor will be engaged on a freelance basis for two years from April 2022. A fixed fee of £10,000 p.a. is offered.
